Landing in Tuscany is a dream that many a person cherish; with our snapshots we would like to thrust your imagination, suggesting glimpses that make us love our land every day a bit more. Let us go beyond the classical iconography that promotes our principal cities, the worldwide acclaimed tourist destinations but, rather, focus on the most characteristic features of everyday life. The photo that we propose today (source: Aska Edizioni) gives a snapshot of the town of Poppi, on a Spring Sunday afternoon. It’s almost summer and, after a traditional, rich Sunday lunch, locals gather in Piazza Amerighi – a sort of meeting point where to chat and talk of the upcoming… soccer match. By the way, other than a common meeting point, Piazza Amerighi hosts the Cappella del Morbo, built toward the mid-17th century, which preserves a painting of a Madonna with Child and Saint John attributed to the School of Fra' Filippino  and deeply loved by locals  throughout the Casentino. The sun shines all over the valley and a stroll under the historic porticos of one of the most Beautiful Villages in Italy marks a momentum in an authentic Tuscan afternoon…
